Exporting a Browse Save as shortcut

Exporting a Browse: ‘Save as’ shortcut

There are multiple applications that can be used to export a browse/shape/ map file.

Exporting browses to csv is typically done using the Export tool or Advanced Export tool.

A quick alternative way to export a browse is to simply open up the browse and save as a csv or excel file.

  • Open the browse

  • Add remove or edit columns/ rows until the browse displays the information you want.

  • When ready to export, go to File | Save as:

You can then choose the file location to save the browse and importantly you can also choose the file type.

Changing the Save as type from Browse to Text file will save the browse as a .csv excel file.
