Copying DriveTimes within a Schema

Before editing a shape, radius or drivetime, you may want to create a copy. This is useful as you might want to reuse the original shape and compare it to the edited version.

To copy your DriveTime:

  • Within the Data tab, find the schema that contains the drivetime you wish to copy.

  • Right click and select Open Browse on the Master Table of said schema. The master table can be found next to an icon of a small red table with a purple key

Note: It is imperative that you open the Master Table and not just the Schema, otherwise the geographical information will not be transferred when you create the copy)

  • Select the shape you want to copy so that it has a red tick next to it

  • Go to the Home tab and select Copy, then click on Paste

  • A new record will be at the bottom of your browse. Change the key so that it is unique. You could just add (Copy)

  • When the key is changed, press the Return key on your keyboard

  • Save current row? Select Yes

You now have a shape that you can browse, map and edit in the usual way
