Basic Map editing

Most features within your maps can be adjusted to your liking. This guide will take you through some of the basic editable features available to you.

Hiding and Showing Layers:

  • With a map open, go to the Map Properties tab

  • Make sure that the Layers subheading is selected. Here, you should see all the layers on your map

  • Simply click on the eye to determine whether you want them visible or not

  • Visible layers will have a green eye icon beside them

  • Hidden layers will have a greyed-out eye icon beside them

(In the example below, roads have been hidden whereas towns and cities stay visible)

  • You can hold Ctrl and click other labels to select more than one at a time

  • In the Selected Items tab, click Move

  • You can now click and drag the selected labels to your desired positions
