Basic Map editing
Most features within your maps can be adjusted to your liking. This guide will take you through some of the basic editable features available to you.
Hiding and Showing Layers:
With a map open, go to the Map Properties tab
Make sure that the Layers subheading is selected. Here, you should see all the layers on your map
Simply click on the eye to determine whether you want them visible or not
Visible layers will have a green eye icon beside them
Hidden layers will have a greyed-out eye icon beside them
(In the example below, roads have been hidden whereas towns and cities stay visible)

This works for legends, annotations, call-outs and info blocks too, they are found under the Annotations sub-heading

Moving Labels:
Set the labels you want to move, by making that layer the focus layer
Click on the label you want to move and a black box will appear around it (to show that it is selected)
You can hold Ctrl and click other labels to select more than one at a time
In the Selected Items tab, click Move
You can now click and drag the selected labels to your desired positions
Sometimes, a line will be drawn connecting the label to its original position. In order to hide this line, go to the Selection sub heading, expand Link Node and change the Line Style to blank

Properties:
If you select a layer (in this example, our Manchester label layer ) and right click then under Selection, click Properties...
This will take you to the individual properties of the selected layer only
Here, you can edit the individual layer. Changing its name, font, font colour, alignment and many other options
