Drawing a circle on a map

It may sometimes be helpful to select an area of your map to study. Drawing a circle around areas of focus can be done in two different ways.

Maps | Selection Shape | Define circle

This option allows you to define a circle by specifying a radius around a specific location. The location may be defined in various ways; place name, postcode, co-ordinates or by using a Tagged Set.

The radius can be set in Miles, Kilometres or Meters.

Maps | Selection Shape | Circle

This option enables you to draw a circle around a centre point that you can define by clicking on the map - hold down the left mouse button and drag out the circle, the radius is displayed in the bar in the bottom left.

If you are choosing the size of your circle and want to move its position, you can do so by holding the Ctrl key whilst continuing to hold down the left mouse button.
