Modifying map object properties

Within a map, the properties of a selected area or areas can be amended within a layer. This can allow different geographical areas to be highlighted without the need for tagging or adding multiple layers.

To alter an area’s properties:

  • Open a map, add the area layer to the map, and set as the Focus Layer

  • Click on one of the areas on the map

  • Right click on the selected area and go to Selection | Properties

  • A Selection tab will open

  • The section called Fill will allow you to change the colour and pattern of the selected area

  • The Border section allows you to change the boundary’s colour, style and width

  • The Drawing section will allow you to hide the area by ticking the Visible box
