Customising text On The Legend
InSite offers a huge range of customisation in its maps. Advanced Map Properties allows you to edit the text within map items freely. By default this option is turned off, so we will show you how to activate it.
To begin with, close any maps you have open (save them if needed)
Go to Home | Options
In the Miscellaneous section, tick the Show Advanced Map Properties option and then click Ok
Now open the map you want to edit
Go to Map Properties and select the layer you would like to edit (in this example I have selected a thematic layer)
Then select the specific class/range you would like to reformat
In the Properties section below, expand the Legend Item Text header
Then click in the option box for Text
Type in the description you want to use, adding any line feeds/carriage returns where needed - see Comfortable Communities in legend image below, where I added a line feed to the description
When ready, click outside of this box to confirm the changes.
